Connor Rivers DMD

President

Dr. Connor Rivers earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern in Illinois. After completing dental school, he attended a General Practice Residency at the Truman Medical Center in Kansas City.

Following his GPR, Dr. Rivers moved to Western Colorado where he settled in Carbondale opening his private practice in 2022 that specializes in sedation dentistry. Dr. Rivers has served on the WCDS board since 2023 and continues to advocate for Colorado practice raise awareness on critical issues for our profession.

Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Rivers enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, golf, skiing and spending time with his girlfriend.

Cameron Reece DMD, MD

Past President

Dr. Reece finished his training in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Case Western Reserve University. While completing his residency, he also concurrently received his Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Case Western is associated with some of the top hospitals in the nation, including the University Hospital of Cleveland and the Cleveland Clinic.
Dr. Reece’s interests include involvement in organized dentistry and he served on the administrative board of the Resident Association of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons. His broad training includes extensive experience in TMJ surgery, orthognathic and sleep surgery, benign pathology, dental implants, anesthesia, and maxillofacial trauma.
Dr. Reece grew up in Payson, Utah, as did his wife, Steffanie, and they have three children. The Reece’s feel privileged to live in Western Colorado and enjoy the great lifestyle we have here in this wonderful area.

Jillian Horkan DDS

Trustee/Past President

Dr. Jillian Horkan attended Creighton University in Omaha Nebraska, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree.  After graduating from dental school she attended a residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry trough Lutheran Medical Center which brought her to her clinical site in Grand Junction. Following this, she moved to Montrose Colorado where she practices comprehensive evidence based dentistry and oral systemic care at her private practice, Montrose Dental Wellness.

Dr. Horkan is a graduate of the Kois Center in Seattle WA. She has served on the WCDS board since 2023 and continues to serve the western Colorado members and colleagues as a Trustee for the CDA. She continues to serve on CDA boards and committees to help members fight challenges dental offices and patients face day to day.

Dr. Horkan and her husband, Chad, enjoy spending time the in outdoors, traveling and keeping up with their two high energy siberian huskies.
